How Do You Change Your Gender Identity Male Female or Other on LinkedIn?
GENDER BIAS // There has been a lot of discussion online recently about how online platforms, online search results and even artificial intelligence prompt responses favour content from people identified as male.
So I thought I would share how to change your gender identity male, female or other on LinkedIn.
Firstly, your pronouns.
From your LinkedIn profile, click the pen and scroll down to pronouns and you can choose what you would like there.
Secondly, in the Settings at the back end you look under Data Privacy and Personal Demographic Information, and you can choose your gender identity there.
Thirdly, if you go into Settings, Advertising Data and choose gender again, you can choose whether your ads will be aligned with your gender or not.
Unfortunately, you can’t change your gender everywhere.
Your face may reveal you as a particular gender.
Also, if you’ve written a third person bio in the Summary or About section, there’s still going to be pronouns in there.
And lastly, any Recommendations that you’ve given or received will have pronouns in there, but there’s been a lot of debate recently about whether or not you will get more traffic by defining a gender on LinkedIn or not.
