Thank You Channel Nine Today Extra and Daily Mail Australia

By Sue Ellson

On 12 September 2022, I was contacted by Natacha Maloon from Today Show Australia @TheTodayShow (Today Extra) on Channel here in Australia to talk about ‘Quiet Quitting‘ as a result of a quote she had seen in an article written by Carina Stathis in the Daily Mail Australia.

My first live to air broadcast on national television occurred the following day from Williamstown here in Victoria before I headed off to provide LinkedIn Training at The Geelong College.

I have now been back on air via the studio at #Channel9 in Melbourne and have met Peter Hitchener in person (he is as friendly as you can imagine) and received expert hair and makeup treatment by the fabulously creative Jutta Schmitz.

David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys have asked some fabulous questions and kept it all light and fun.

I have spoken on the topics of mature age workers, younger workers and today, career cushioning.

This has been an incredible experience.

As an #educator and #practitioner and professional member of the Career Development Association Australia it brings me so much joy to be able to share practical career tips and information to a broader audience.

I have resisted the many recommendations to publish video content on social media up until now, but I just cannot contain my gratefulness any longer (and Julian Mather is a whiz at helping us press the red button).

So here it is, the story in writing and the video to go with it!

You can see all of the Channel 9 segments on my YouTube Channel at

Thank you all again! I am so very grateful for the opportunity.
