Is LinkedIn the new Twitter? Book Launch “LinkedIn for me and my career or business” by Sue Ellson 23 January 2023
After recent changes at Twitter, many individuals are shopping around for an alternative social media platform. Sue Ellson‘s first website went online in 2001 and she has been on LinkedIn since 2003 and consulting on LinkedIn since 2008. She says, “Unlike Twitter, LinkedIn is owned by Microsoft, a company that has a range of digital products they have been perfecting since 1975.”
“LinkedIn offers a much more civilised newsfeed, a comprehensive Personal Profile and Company Page and the ability to build a network of 30,000 connections and unlimited followers all for free. Used effectively, it can change your life,” says Ms Ellson.
Unfortunately, according to Adam Houlahan, Australian LinkedIn Expert, “Up to 95% of people on LinkedIn have not optimised their LinkedIn Profile correctly.”
There are over 13 million Australians on LinkedIn https://news.linkedin.com/about-us#Statistics so that equates to around 12,350,000 people in Australia who are not using LinkedIn effectively.
