5. New LinkedIn Features
a. Conversations happening now – if you have Creator Mode turned on, you can visit your Dashboard and see ‘Conversations happening now’ that you may like to react to or comment on at https://www.linkedin.com/dashboard
b. About Section – you can now nominate your top five skills next to the About section on your LinkedIn Profile
c. Carousels – The Newsfeed now gives you the option of creating a Carousel from the Home screen
After you have chosen this purple link, you can either choose your own images or create some in Canva using a Template format but you will still need to download each individual image/video as a PNG, JPG or MP4 video and then upload each file to LinkedIn as part of the Carousel. This is an alternative to creating a PowerPoint Presentation and uploading as a PDF document (you need to click Start a post for this option)
d. Sound Effects – do you like to hear a little ding when something has happened on LinkedIn? You can adjust your Settings, Account Preferences, Sound Effects and turn this feature on or off at https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/settings/enable-sounds-desktop
6. Latest Offer
There is a page on my website providing resources you can download at https://sueellson.com/latest-offer
7. Musing
Burnout. Are you feeling it? I seem to be talking to a lot of people who are feeling overwhelmed. Do you feel as if you need to be ‘on’ all the time? Do you find it difficult to stop viewing your phone, watch, television, laptop or computer screen for any length of time?
My exercise physiologist has suggested that I stop eating three hours before bed, stop working two hours before bed and stop looking at a screen one hour before bed. I am finding it challenging, but I am committed to making the change…
Enjoy the rest of your day and cheers for now, Sue
