Online Branding Keynote Speaker
Are you looking for an online branding keynote speaker? How is online branding different to personal branding? Do you have to have a personal brand to have an online brand? What do you want to be found for online?
When my first website NewcomersNetwork.com went online in 2001, I was contacted by a journalist who wanted to know all about me.
I wanted the journalist to know all about Newcomers Network and how it could help people.
I know that many people who live and work in Australia are not all that comfortable putting themselves out there for the world to see.
Most people have legitimate concerns about privacy, safety and unwanted advances with online content.
The good news is, I have been online since 2001 and can happily say I haven’t had to deal with privacy, safety or unwanted advances.
Now that could be because I am very modest in the clothing department.
Yes, I talk about wearing high neck garments.
Or because I am quite selective about what I publish.
It could also be because I focus on being friendly and professional (not personal) at all times.
But I believe the main reason is because my online message is crystal clear.
I am an educator and a practitioner.
I teach but I also do.
I test and I try.
I give things a go and I keep going.
And I keep publishing a variety of content online (even poems!).
Yes, my own website SueEllson.com didn’t go online until 2012 and yet my LinkedIn Profile was created in 2003.
LinkedIn is highly optimised for my online brand and the main online brand I have is:
My name – Sue Ellson
My keyword – LinkedIn Specialist
So if you do an online search for either of these terms anywhere in Australia, I can guarantee that you will find content about me in either Google or Bing on the first page of search results.
You may even find me in search results if you are in another country.
But, I also rank for a lot of other online search queries.
I won’t go into all of those here though….as I am sure you would fall asleep!
I have got these results by:
- Search Engine Optimising my website and my online profiles
- Publishing content on other websites (in particular LinkedIn but also many others where I have a profile)
- Securing traditional media coverage (print, radio, television, online)
- Running events and webinars (and being featured on event listings, using event tools etc)
- Appearing on other websites, podcasts, publications etc
- Speaking at various conferences, events, workshops, professional development programs, associations, corporates, etc
- Seeing people in real life – and then I connect with them on LinkedIn – and when the time is right, they hire me
These techniques allow me to be found online for my TOPIC and my NAME.
But if you know my name, you can also verify my credentials.
You can see reviews on Google, Facebook and my website.
You can check out my social media channels.
You can see my details listed on other websites.
You can see my past presentations, publications, videos and podcasts.
And they all go back to 2001.
So the big question is, can you develop an online brand?
And how long will it take?
Do you know what you want to be found for?
Are you willing to publish regularly? (Once a week, not seven times a day!)
If you would like to find out, then you can invite me to speak to or train your group of people or you can contact me directly and we can work one-on-one.
The short answer is, yes, you can create an online brand.
If you are committed to it, you can achieve some amazing results within six months, without paying for ads.
You can create digital assets that will last at least five years, particularly if they are good quality and on reputable locations.
You can be found for multiple search queries too, if you give the search engines what they want.
Good quality content, once a week, starting at your website (the only thing you own), sharing on your socials and going from there.
But if you want the full details, let’s make a time and we can make it happen.
With the latest tools.
Tailored for your purpose.
That you can do yourself, or outsource if you prefer.
But will work.
Even if you are camera shy.
And you don’t need to tell anyone what you had for breakfast.
Let’s face it, nobody needs to know that.
But they do want to know a bit about you.
But let’s choose the right bits.
For now.
Because it all starts with your minimum viable product (which I would suggest is a LinkedIn Profile) and this can be the perfect place to start.
And with practical support, the sky is the limit.
Attract what you desire.
There is no need to push yourself out there.
But if you don’t tell, you can’t sell. (the right words need to be published if you want to be found in a search result)
So let’s get your story out there.
I am sure it is fascinating (even if you don’t think so).
Because you are already amazing and you are okay.
Together, let’s take the next step.
Let’s help you create your own online brand.
No matter what has happened in the past.
It’s made you who you are.
Amazing.
You’re worth it.
