It’s Good to be Grateful Poem

It’s good to be grateful
For all that you are
It’s good to be grateful
And shine like a star

 

It’s good to be grateful
For when things go just right
It’s good to be grateful
When you have a dark night

 

It’s good to be grateful
To just flow with ease
It’s good to be grateful
To have time to freeze

 

It’s good to be grateful
And keep peaceful thoughts
It’s good to be grateful
And cherish cohorts

 

It’s good to be grateful
Don’t waste a moment more
It’s good to be grateful
So much more is in store

 

There are days when life just get’s you down…but even on those days, there are still plenty of things to be grateful for. I am not a ‘Pollyanna’ who believes that everything is sunshine and roses, but I did hear Jay Shetty suggest that when we are grateful, we can’t be angry, sad or disappointed. By being grateful, we are planting a seed in our mind to be grateful all the time. Sounds like a good idea to me! With love, Sue Ellson 🙂
