Gather Together Poem

As we gather here together
And ponder thoughts whatsoever
Enjoy this time of reflection
And contemplate your own direction

For this space is just for you
A time that we all treasure too
Live with joy and doubt no more
For inside of you, there is no score

Only share what feels right
We will support you, come what might
And when it is time to say our goodbyes
Our wish is that you will have more blue skies

This poem was written in September 2005 when I ran a workshop I created called ‘Finding my perspectives, values, leadership strengths and blessings’ with a small group of people who did not know one another and I wanted to make sure that they would feel comfortable sharing their personal stories. The poem was published in the workbook and we read it out aloud together. It was a terrific experience for all of us. With love, Sue Ellson 🙂
